First Light

 air so still
a world in silence
fresh coffee brews
aroma fills the house
make the bed
woke alone again
the window view
shows first cars appear
quiet house stirs
young voices fill the air
the world arises
i mourn the quiets passing
lay out clothes
where i woke alone
first light breaks
my thoughts turn to you
